As a young child Jennifer dreamed of being a multi-published author. She started writing her first manuscript at age twelve in a spiral notebook. In May 1993 Jennifer graduated from Elon University earning a B.A. in Journalism and married her husband Dwayne. She discovered Romance Writers of America (RWA) and began attending workshops and national conferences. She joined RWA chapters Carolina Romance Writers and Faith, Hope and Love, as well as American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW).

In August 2000 Jennifer was laid off from work and ended up freelance writing to make ends meet. This gave her experience in marketing her writing talent. She created her own website and published several articles locally and nationally through such publications as Heritage Quest Magazine, Everton’s Genealogical Helper, The Military Trader and Angels On Earth, a Guideposts publication.

In 2005, Jennifer felt led to write Inspirational fiction. In 2007, two of her manuscripts were finalists in ACFW’s Genesis Contest and she signed a contract with Literary Agent, Terry Burns, at Hartline Literary Agency. In October 2008 Abingdon Press bought her first manuscript. Her debut novel, Highland Blessings, will be released May 2010.

Jennifer resides with her husband and eleven-year-old daughter in Kannapolis, NC. In her spare time she loves to research history and family genealogy, reading, traveling and spending time with family. You can learn more about her at www.jenniferhudsontaylor.com.
